The Abuakwa North Municipal National Service Personnel Association in the Eastern Region of Ghana, has organized a health screening for the municipality and blood donation to serve the New Tafo Akim Government Hospital’s Blood Bank today 5th March, 2022 at New Tafo-Akim funeral grounds.
The event which was patronised by scores of people from all walks of life saw massive attendance by the National Service Personnel in the Municipality as well.
Health personnel from the Tafo Government Hospital handled the medical processing.
According to Mr John Asimiah, Eastern Regional President of the National Service Personnel Association who doubles as the President for Abuakwa North explained that, the gesture is a way of giving back to the community they are serving in.
He added that, they are doing the exercise to create awareness of the Association’s existence in the community and also help save lives at the New Tafo Government Hospital.
Mr John Asimiah admonished all Municipal Executives to emulate the gesture in their various communities.
Taking a swipe on their two months allowance delay, Mr John Asimiah said, the Regional and National Executives are not relenting on their efforts to bring the situation to normalcy, therefore all personnel should calm down for the Secretariat will alert them officially as at when the issue is resolved.
He further thanked all blood donors and sponsors for their immense contributions to the success of the event.
The blood donors were refreshed with Cocoa Tea from Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana, New Tafo Akim, and were each gifted, National Service branded blood donation T-shirt, can of Ideal Milk and Milo.
