The Municipal Chief Executive of Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Honourable Alhaji Umar Babs Bodinga, has emphasized that, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) unlike the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is doing door to door projects.
He said, all the projects being executed by the NPP is visible to the direct beneficiaries unlike that of the NDC who printed non-existing projects in their green book sighting Akyem Kukurantumi Methodist School project as an example.
Honourable Alhaji Umar Babs Bodinga, refuted the claim that, the contractor working on the Old Tafo-Akim to Anyinasin road has abandoned it.
“All the projects the NPP is doing are door to door, the people who are direct beneficiaries can see and attest to them, as I’m talking to you, the contractor working on the Old Tafo-Akim to Anyinasin road is at the site and has even completed the U-drains. Unlike the NDC people who printed projects which did not exist. A typical example is the Kukurantumi Methodist School project they captured as completed and commissioned which is not the reality”. Hon Alhaji Umar Babs Bodinga jabbed.
His comments came after Mr Aikins Ofori, NDC Communications Officer, Abuakwa South, alleged and expressed disappointment in the government on Nopras FM’s Adekye Mu Nsem Political Program hosted by Nana Kwasi Asare that, the contractor working on the Old Tafo-Akim to Anyinasin has abandoned the project.
The outspoken Municipal Chief Executive in his response also vowed, to expose some NDC activists who were awarded contracts, took the sums and abandoned the projects.
He added that, he has summoned four of them but only one has come for the deliberation.
