Verification

Every factual claim is checked against at least two independent sources where possible. Single-source claims are labelled as such.

Viral content

Images and videos are checked for authenticity, provenance and context before use. We are cautious with user-generated content and label its origin.

Public statements

Statements by public officials are reported with context, including prior contradictory statements where relevant. We do not pass assertions as facts.
